So I decided yesterday to leave everything in its file and take the day “off”. I put that in quotes  because for what I”m trying to do right now I only have to answer to myself. I got up in the morning and, instead of pulling out drafts and notes and old journals, I went outside and picked up the paper. Then I read it cover to cover while drinking coffee. In that split decision to do nothing I gave myself a gift.

Today I feel recharged and am looking forward to looking at old stories with new eyes.

I’d love to hear about everyone else’s favorite ways to do nothing. 🙂

My Favorite way of doing nothing is to put on headphone and relax and listen to music while reading

You have to stop at Kroger or publix, whatever your grocery store of choice is and pick up snacks. Sweet and salty as well as a dinner item that hits the spot. Big, baggy sweat pants and a redbox or two. Lights off, my dog, rainy weather preferred but not necessary. Cuddle patner if applicable otherwise that’s what the dog’s for=my favorite way to do nothing.

My favourite way of doing nothing is sitting on my front steps and just watching and listening to the outside world…very calming too.

I made today my day off from “work.” Went out for lunch and moseyed on over to the bookstore. Mondays are great, especially when everyone else is back at work. No midday traffic.
