Keeping Them Close

March 7, 2014

IMG_0373I wear my husband’s grandmother’s earrings. She left them to his future wife in her will. I wore them to the rehearsal and dinner the night before our wedding. I never met her, but it only felt right to have a piece of her there.

I wore nothing of my own grandmothers’. There is nowhere I go that they aren’t with me. I miss them constantly, but they are always here- something I never really understood until my grandma passed away. I see her everywhere and in all of the people I love.

I hope everyone has a beautiful Friday.

I wear my grandmother’s earrings often. Teeny tiny reminders of her. Of course, I feel the presence of my family all around me- even when they’re not.
